About PadiDoctors
What is PadiDoctors?
PadiDoctors is a digital health platform designed to help people in Nigeria understand their symptoms, receive safe health guidance, and connect with licensed medical doctors when needed.
You can describe how you feel in English or Nigerian Pidgin, and the system provides a clear, easy-to-understand summary to help you decide the next step in your care.
Is PadiDoctors a hospital or emergency service?
No. PadiDoctors does not replace hospitals, emergency services, or in-person care. It is designed as a first step to help you understand symptoms and seek appropriate medical attention.
Do I need an account to use PadiDoctors?
You can explore symptom guidance without signing in. To save your history or connect with a licensed doctor, you will be asked to create an account or sign in.
Medical Safety & Clinical Role
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. PadiDoctors provides educational health guidance only. The information you receive is not a diagnosis and should not replace professional medical advice.
Only a licensed medical doctor can diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or make treatment decisions.
How do doctors use PadiDoctors?
Technology supports the process, but doctors make clinical decisions. Licensed clinicians review information provided by users and guide care based on their professional judgment.
How the Symptom Checker Works
- Describe your symptoms in your own words using text (and voice input where available).
- The system summarizes your symptoms in clear, plain language.
- You receive guidance on what to do next — including when it may be important to speak with a doctor.
- When appropriate, you can connect with a licensed medical professional for further consultation.
PadiDoctors is designed to support early understanding and safe decision-making, not to replace professional care.
Entering Vital Signs (Optional)
Entering vital signs is recommended but optional. It helps clinicians better understand your situation.
- Temperature (°C) — oral, armpit, or infrared
- Blood pressure (mmHg)
- Heart rate and breathing rate
- Oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
- Weight and height
Always use properly functioning devices and follow manufacturer instructions. One abnormal reading alone is not a diagnosis.
When to Seek Urgent Care Immediately
- Severe chest pain, sudden weakness, confusion, fainting, or seizures
- Severe difficulty breathing or oxygen levels below normal
- High fever with stiff neck, severe headache, or persistent vomiting
- Uncontrolled bleeding, serious injury, or suspected poisoning
In Nigeria, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency facility. PadiDoctors should not be used for emergencies.
